Anna Martynenko
Burning

Anna Martynenko’s photograph “Burning” is a staging that, among other things, uses the elements of performance to build a narrative around the person in the picture. This story lives from theatrical condensations and contradictions in content, which dialectically unite in the picture to form a visually contradiction-free maelstrom. In its fire, not only the headgear but also the youth as a whole seems to go up in flames apathetically.
