The gallery shows a stringent contemporary program with a focus on abstract painting, sculpture and interdisciplinary extensions of these classic genres. Even before the current gallery, he was involved in Galerie K and various exhibition projects and has been volunteering for Freunde des Wallraf-Richartz-Museums und des Museums Ludwig e.V. since 2013. Educated in France and Germany with master degrees in Art History and History of Photography at the Sorbonne and the University of Bonn, Simone Klein has consecutively worked for Rudolf Kicken Gallery, Lempertz Auctioneers, Sotheby\u2019s London and Paris (as Head of the European Photography Department for almost 10 years), and at Magnum Photos in Paris as Global Sales Director. As a member, Anja Knoess is committed to both the ZONTA Club Cologne and the 2-year-old ZONTA Cologne Art Award to promote women in the art world.<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"col-md-6 col-lg-4\">\r\n\r\n<a class=\"jurymember\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mischakuball.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Prof. Mischa Kuball<\/a>\r\n<p class=\"jurysub\">Concept artist and professor for public art at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne<\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"jurydescripton\">\r\n\r\n<img class=\"img-fluid\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Kuball_Flieder.jpg\" \/>Mischa Kuball has been a professor at the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne since 2007, associate professor for media art at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG), and starting 2015 a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts in D\u00fcsseldorf. In January 2016 he was granted the German \u201cLichtkunstpreis\u201d (engl.: Light Art Award). Since 1977, Mischa Kuball has been working as a conceptual artist in public and institutional sectors. Through the medium of light \u2014 particularly in art installations and photography \u2014 Kuball examines architectural space and it\u2019s subsequent social and political discourse. He reflects on the various facets, from cultural social structures to architectural encroachments, which underlines the characteristics of landmarks and the context of architectural history or redefines it.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div class=\"col-md-6 col-lg-4\">\r\n\r\n<a class=\"jurymember\" href=\"https:\/\/www.museum-folkwang.de\/tr.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Thomas Seelig<\/a>\r\n<p class=\"jurysub\">Head of the collection for photography at the Museum Folkwang in Essen<\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"jurydescripton\"><img class=\"img-fluid\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Seelig_Flieder.jpg\" \/>Since 2018 Thomas Seelig has been head of the collection for photography at the Museum Folkwang in Essen and curator for exhibitions including those for Marge Monko, Aenne Biermann, Timm Rautert and Tobias Zielony. He studied visual communications and photography at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, followed by a study program as a curator at the Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht. He worked as a curator for collections at the Museum for Photography in Winterthur between 2003 and 2018 and as managing director from 2013-17. He also took part in the development of SITUATIONS, an experimental exhibition format for the museum.
